Apple’s AI Leadership Shake-Up

Meanwhile, Apple is facing a shift in its AI leadership. Robby Walker, senior director of Apple’s Answers, Information, and Knowledge team, is reportedly leaving the company after over a decade. He previously oversaw Siri, Apple’s voice assistant, and his exit raises questions about the company’s AI roadmap as rivals like Google push forward with Gemini AI technology.

Apple has seen several AI experts depart in recent months, including Ruoming Pang, Mark Lee, and Tom Gunter, many of whom have joined Meta’s Superintelligence Labs. Despite this, Apple continues to integrate AI into its devices, including Siri updates and Apple Intelligence, though some upgrades are delayed until 2026.

Other Apple Highlights

  • Apple recently unveiled a blood pressure monitoring feature on Apple Watch Series 9, 10, 11, Ultra 2, and Ultra 3, approved by the FDA. This feature will roll out in around 150 countries, enhancing Apple’s wearable technology ecosystem.

  • With the launch of the iPhone 17 series and the slimmer iPhone Air, Apple is targeting tech enthusiasts looking for premium devices while offering discounts on older models.
